We were delighted to have been asked to create a sheet copper bar for the “opening on the year” restaurant in St James London.
14 sections were formed on our wheeling machine; all interlocking, all different radii and cross section, resulting in a serpentine, 10 metre body for a cocktail bar.
Some sections were so curved in “a return” fashion (the hardest of the double curves) that many hours blocking and planishing were required to make things just so, after panels had been “wheeled.”
All of the finished articles were then patinated with a closely guarded secret blend of acids.
Here are some pictures of the pieces during manufacture by father and son. If you have any similar requirements feel free to contact us with details of such.
